A 6km pathway through Sydney’s Inner West connecting Parramatta Road to the Cooks River
Project Overview
The GreenWay gives the Inner West community a new way to move through a 6km shared pathway connecting Parramatta Road to the Cooks River.
Delivered for Inner West Council by Gartner Rose, what was once a disused corridor is now a continuous, welcoming route through renewed public spaces, tunnels and elevated paths, designed to make walking and riding effortless for everyone who uses it. Behind that simplicity sits real engineering complexity from protecting heritage rail infrastructure to working around existing drainage all in service of giving the community a space that feels like it was built around them, not just through them.
Scope of Work
TTW provided Civil, Traffic and Structural engineering across the project, including:
- Structural design of cantilevered sections and tunnel elements
- Integrated pathway around existing drainage infrastructure
- Traffic engineering to support effective active transport connections
- Protection and integration of heritage rail infrastructure
