Project Overview
The redevelopment of a heritage bank building at 50 Martin Place delivers a contemporary transformation, balancing the site’s history with the demands of a world-class financial headquarters. The result is a striking new global home for Macquarie Group, one that respects its heritage character while meeting the standards of a modern workplace in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
Scope of Work
The unique, ambitious structural design involved a close collaboration between engineers, architects and the construction team to address heritage requirements;
- geometry of existing building;
- building height limit;
- maintaining existing bank operations during the project.
This iconic building showcases innovation and creativity in design and engineering solutions and is also considered a masterpiece of sustainable innovation with maximum Green Star ratings.
