Strengthening Jakarta’s supply chain, one distribution hub at a time
Project Overview
The Logos Metrolink Logistics Hub strengthens the trade and supply chain network that businesses and communities across Jakarta rely on, connecting the city to its airports, shipping port and CBD from a strategic eastern fringe location.
This modern, multi-storey distribution centre delivers a large-scale logistics facility built to flexibly serve businesses of varying sizes. The warehouse floors use post-tensioned flat slab structures to maximise clear height for racking, with reinforced concrete special moment frames at the perimeter providing earthquake resilience for the people who work within it.
Spanning over 200,000 m2 without building separation joints, the post-tensioned floors required our team to undertake a detailed study into the effects of creep and shrinkage on long-term prestressing losses, introducing delayed pour breaks to control these effects and ensure a safe, durable facility for the long term.
Scope of Work
TTW delivered Structural and Civil Engineering services including:
- Structural with steel roof structures
- Stormwater and pavement design
- Stormwater retention
