Western Sydney Airport Metro Line

This 23km metro rail line will connect Western Sydney communities to the airport and Greater Sydney, linking new and existing neighbourhoods through six new stations, including Bradfield Metro Station. Spanning seven precincts, the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package brings together stations, service buildings, a stabling yard and a maintenance facility, forming a critical piece of the transport network that will connect Western Sydney’s growing communities.

TTW’s façade and structural engineering teams are engaged to design and document systems across all stations, including:

• External glazed and aluminium façades, structural steel, precast elements, and internal cladding and ceiling systems
• Specialised design elements including perforated screens, mesh systems, skylights, and blast-resistant façade solutions, balancing safety and durability
• Ongoing support through detailed design and construction, collaborating with subcontractors to deliver IFC documentation and certification
• Integrated approach between Structural and Façade Engineering teams, working in a single BIM model with 1:1 Revit façade and steel documentation to IFC
