Project Overview
The expansion of Constitution Place will deliver premium, sustainable office spaces at VERNON, located in the heart of Canberra’s City Centre.
The 25,000sqm GFA development will comprise seven floors, a rooftop plantroom and two basement levels. Designed with sustainability at its core, the fully electric building will target a 5 Star Green Star rating and 5.5 Star NABERS rating, incorporating a hybrid timber structure along its western elevation.
The development will also feature premium end-of-trip facilities and a ground-floor café, creating a contemporary workplace that prioritises sustainability and user experience.
Scope of Work
TTW’s engineering scope included:
- Design of the building’s complex and striking timber veranda.
- Extending from Constitution Avenue into Vernon Circle, the veranda forms the building’s entire southern façade. The sustainably driven design incorporates mass timber to significantly reduce embodied carbon while enhancing the warmth and usability of the floor spaces across Levels 3 to 7.
